Choir Information
Description
The OK Chorale was established in 1993 to develop and extend able singers at Palmerston North Boys High School. This auditioned ensemble is kept to a maximum of sixteen voices comprising students from years 10-13. The group was initially modelled on the Kings singers, performing exclusively unaccompanied works. The group aims to encourage other male singers through humorous and inventive repertoire, which is often composed or arranged specifically for this group. This year they are fortunate to have a David Hamilton work arranged for them, which they will perform in their first set. This is the tenth OK Chorale to appear at a Big Sing finale. Their conductor is Head of Music, Graeme Young.
