Saint Cecilia Singers are Diocesan School for Girls’ elite choir, drawn from years 9 – 13. The choir has been a regular participant in the Big Sing Finale. In the past two years they have won gold and silver awards, and won the Auahi Kore award in 2007.

Description
Saint Cecilia Singers take their name from Saint Cecilia, the patron saint of music. They are Diocesan School for Girls’ elite choir, drawn from years 9 – 13. All members also sing in their year level choirs, making an additional commitment to singing for this choir. Their first practice of the week is on Mondays at 7.30am! The choir has been a regular participant in the Big Sing Finale and in the past two years has won gold and silver awards, and won the Auahi Kore award in 2007. Members of the choir also performed in Shanghai, China two years ago, and hope to tour again in the future.
